Centering Reunion

While I was pregnant with Grayson I received prenatal care at the Naval hospital. They offer a program called "Centering" - where you have a short prenatal check up followed by a class with other mamas with close due dates - that I participated in. At the start of May our class had a reunion where we all got back together to share stories & let our babies meet each other.

I almost didn't go. I thought it might be awkward & Tim had to work, but I am very glad I changed my mind. Getting to hear how other mom's births went, chatting about life with a new baby so far and seeing all those sweet little ones made my week!
I dressed Grayson up in his little blue jeans & a button up onsie. He was STYLING! I love dressing him up because I know pretty soon he will be running around & getting so dirty that dress clothes will be a distant memory.
Although Grayson had the 5th out of 6 due dates, he was born 3rd. There were three boys and three girls and they are all precious as can be! One of the boys was unable to make the reunion, but the rest of us took sweet pictures of all of our little ones.
Once we got the initial picture of the babies in a circle, we let them meet each other a little more. I flipped Grayson on his tummy so that he could lift up & see the other babies. Well, I guess little man was ready for a nap because he immediately laid his head down and fell asleep!
The little boy next to him was rolling toward Grayson, trying to get his attention, and Grayson is out like a light.
After the reunion, all the moms found each other on Facebook. It is fun to keep up with babies near Grayson's age & talk about what they are doing & what we are doing as parents. Although I don't think I would take the class again - I would like to find a group of moms to share any further pregnancies with, it helps to share those things with others who are in the same shoes.
