Sweet Lucy

My poor sweet Lucy. Yesterday she didn't eat any food, which made me nervous... but I tried to not worry. Then around midnight she walked into our bedroom and had a seizure. She has never had a seizure before and I was terrified. Over the next 4 hours she had 6 more seizures each one lasting 1-3 seconds and she was very unsteady on her feet.

As soon as the vet opened this morning, I made her an appointment where they took blood work and prescribed Phenobarbital to control seizures. The vet seemed concerned that she had several in a row and wants to prevent more from happening with the Phenobarbital.

Lucy is just resting today, unsteady but no seizures at all. I should find out the result of the blood work later this week and hopefully we can narrow down what is causing the seizures.
